YSCL-Tennis Anti-Doping Code for Players & Team Officials
1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION:
YSCL Management is jointly responsible for the operation of the Young Stars Cricket League – Tennis (“YSCL-Tennis”) and this Anti-Doping Code for Players & Team Officials (the “Anti-Doping Code”) is adopted and implemented as a part of YSCL-Tennis.
- Players agree not to engage in any doping violations, and Team Officials agree not to encourage, conceal, or enable such actions.
- This Anti-Doping Code ensures that all participants (Players and Team Officials) adhere to ethical standards and comply with the World Anti-Doping Code.
2. CONDUCT OF PLAYERS:
2.1 All players are automatically bound by and required to comply with this Anti-Doping Code.
2.2 Each player agrees:
a) To familiarize themselves with all requirements of the Anti-Doping Code, including prohibited conduct and substances.
b) To submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the YSCL Management Committee/Disciplinary Committee for hearing and determining charges under this Code.
c) Not to initiate any legal proceedings inconsistent with the jurisdiction of the YSCL Management Committee/Disciplinary Committee.
d) To ensure no prohibited substance or its metabolites/markers enter their body.
e) That ignorance, lack of intent, or negligence is not a valid defense if prohibited substances are found in their samples.
f) Refusal or evasion of sample collection without compelling justification will be treated as an admission of guilt.
g) Possession of prohibited substances/methods will lead to disqualification and cancellation of registration.
h) Trafficking or attempted trafficking in prohibited substances/methods will result in cancellation of registration.
i) Administration or attempted administration of prohibited substances/methods during in-competition events will lead to disqualification and cancellation of registration.
3. TESTING:
3.1 YSCL Management will develop and implement a test distribution plan and engage accredited third parties to conduct testing in compliance with the International Standard for Testing.
3.2 All players must submit to testing upon request, at any time or location, with or without prior notice.
3.3 Testing for players under the age of 18 must be conducted in the presence of their guardian, with consent. Guardians may not withhold consent on unreasonable grounds.
4. SANCTIONS:
If a player’s sample is confirmed positive for prohibited substances:
- The player will be immediately disqualified from participating in any matches.
- The player’s registration may be canceled, and any fees paid will be forfeited.
5. LIST OF PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES:
The list of prohibited substances includes, but is not limited to:
a) Peptide hormones, Growth Factors, Related Substances, and Mimetics
b) Hormone and Metabolic Modulators
c) Diuretics and Masking Agents
d) Stimulants
e) Alcohol
f) Narcotics: Mitragynine and Tramadol
g) Glucocorticoids
h) Telmisartan
6. AMENDMENT & INTERPRETATION:
6.1 The Anti-Doping Code may be amended periodically by YSCL Management, with changes effective from the specified date.
6.2 Headings in the Anti-Doping Code are for guidance only and do not affect the substance or interpretation of the provisions.
6.3 If any provision of the Anti-Doping Code is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
This Anti-Doping Code reflects YSCL-Tennis’s commitment to fair play and ethical conduct in cricket. All participants are urged to abide by the guidelines to ensure integrity in the league.
