Missing Children Policy

YSCL-Tennis Missing Children Policy

1. SCOPE AND APPLICATION:

The Young Stars Cricket League Management (“Management”) is responsible for the operation and management of YSCL-Tennis. This Missing Children Policy is adopted and implemented to ensure the safety and security of all participants within the premises of YSCL-Tennis matches, training camps, and events.

  • Any incident involving missing children must be promptly reported to the officials, who will coordinate with the Police and other concerned authorities if necessary.

2. CONDUCT OF OFFICIALS:

All YSCL-Tennis officials are required to adhere to the rules outlined in this policy to ensure the safety of children. Officials and staff must:
a) Regularly count the children in their groups to ensure no one is missing.
b) Enforce a policy requiring children to inform their coach or supervisor before leaving the group or premises for any reason.
c) Encourage children to notify officials immediately if they notice someone from their group is missing.
d) Stay attentive and avoid becoming overly engrossed in activities, which could lead to losing track of children on the sidelines.
e) Minimize idle time for children to reduce the risk of wandering away.

3. PROTOCOL TO BE FOLLOWED:

In the event a child goes missing, the following steps must be taken:
a) Conduct an initial inquiry into the child’s whereabouts before drawing any conclusions.
b) Inform YSCL-Tennis officials, who will organize a coordinated search of the premises.
c) Monitor all entry and exit points to ensure the child does not leave unnoticed.
d) Search the immediate area and surrounding perimeter thoroughly.
e) If the child is not found after exhaustive efforts, a formal complaint should be filed with the appropriate authorities after consulting the child’s guardian.
f) Any person observed acting suspiciously or appearing out of place should be reported to officials immediately.

4. SAFETY STANDARDS:

YSCL-Tennis officials must maintain high safety standards during matches, training sessions, and camps. These include:

  • The presence of paramedics or medical staff.
  • Deployment of security personnel at strategic locations.
  • Supervision by trained coaches and staff.
  • Use of appropriate equipment and kits to prevent accidents or mishaps.

5. AMENDMENT & INTERPRETATION:

a) The Missing Children Policy may be updated periodically, with changes taking effect from the date specified by YSCL Management.
b) Section headings are for guidance only and do not affect the interpretation of the policy provisions.
c) If any provision of this policy is deemed invalid, unenforceable, or illegal, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

6. CONTACT INFORMATION:

In case of a missing child, an official will be designated to manage communication related to the case. This includes relaying accurate information, coordinating with authorities, and preventing the spread of false rumors that could harm the reputation of YSCL-Tennis.

This policy underscores YSCL-Tennis’s commitment to providing a secure environment for all participants and their families.
