League Constitution

1. NAME:
1.1 The name of the League is the Young Stars Cricket League – Tennis, hereinafter referred to as “The League.”
1.2 The League is solely operated by the Organization, which is committed to ensuring the integrity of tennis-ball cricket and promoting the safety and well-being of its members and the players participating in the League.

2. OBJECTIVES OF THE LEAGUE:
A true sportsperson plays within the rules and spirit of the game. Any action that abuses this spirit injures the game itself. Embracing the spirit of tennis-ball cricket means participating fairly as a Player or Team Official and respecting fellow participants and the game’s traditional values, such as graciousness in defeat and humility in victory. The League’s objectives include:
2.1 To promote the highest standards of tennis-ball cricket and playing facilities.
2.2 To uphold the spirit, traditions, and rules of tennis-ball cricket at all times.
2.3 To encourage equality in all aspects and ensure a duty of care to all participants, irrespective of age, gender, disability, race, ethnicity, color, social status, sexual orientation, religion, or beliefs.
2.4 To actively promote anti-racism and racial equality in the game.
2.5 To enforce disciplinary action against any participant or official proven guilty of racism or racial abuse.

3. MEMBERSHIP OF THE LEAGUE:
3.1 Membership comprises all participants officially admitted and currently playing within the League’s structure.

4. GOVERNANCE OF THE LEAGUE:
4.1 The League shall be governed by a Board of Management, hereinafter referred to as “the Board.”

5. APPOINTMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS:
5.1 The Board shall have up to seven elected members, serving three-year terms, with two to three members retiring annually by rotation and eligible for re-election.
5.2 The Board shall elect its own Chairman, Vice-Chairman, and Secretary.
5.3 Each Board member has one vote, with the Chairman holding the casting vote.
5.4 A quorum of four members is required for Board meetings.

6. MANAGEMENT OF THE LEAGUE:
6.1 The League comprises several governing bodies responsible for organizing, managing, and administering League events. These are:
6.2.1 Management Committee:
I. Ensures smooth operation of the League and compliance with Codes, Rules, and Regulations.
II. Oversees the League’s overall management and enforces the established Codes of Conduct.
6.2.2 Disciplinary Committee:
I. Resolves disputes and enforces compliance with Codes, Rules, and Regulations.
6.2.3 Organizing Committee:
I. Manages event organization, player coordination, and match arrangements.
6.2.4 Technical Committee:
I. Oversees technical equipment and facilities essential for the League’s operations.

7. TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR COMMITTEES:
7.1 Each committee will establish its Terms of Reference, including member appointments, roles, and powers.

8. RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE LEAGUE:
8.1 The League’s Codes, Rules, and Regulations deter improper conduct on and off the field, with a robust disciplinary procedure.
8.2 Players must adhere to the stipulated Codes, which include:
I. Code of Conduct
II. Anti-Doping Policy
III. Anti-Racism Policy
IV. Prevention of Malpractices Code
V. Anti-Bullying Policy
VI. Missing Children Policy
VII. Child Safety and Security Policy

9. INVESTIGATIONS AND DISCIPLINARY PROCEEDINGS:
9.1 Allegations of rule breaches are investigated by the Disciplinary Committee, with referrals to Designated Officials.
9.2 Participants must cooperate fully with investigations.
9.3 Guilty participants may face penalties, including registration cancellation.
9.4 Registration cancellations are non-refundable.
9.5 Decisions by the Committees are final and binding, with no scope for administrative or judicial review.

The League’s terms and conditions are governed by Indian law, with disputes settled exclusively in New Delhi.
